Yea been noticing that for a long time too. Keeping an eye out for damaged box units on Amazon usually reaps pretty good rewards, and could even be seeing those near launch for as low as $250. Can't say I would recommend a used unit you couldn't return, but if you wanted to take the chance it could pay off.
Any apocalypse scenario you may have read to contradict that isn't happening, I assure you.Īdditionally, you'll probably be seeing used Switch units going for $200 before the year's out. Hardware, similarly, will only go down from the announcement price. Could happen soon, could happen in the distant future, but either way games that have already released wouldn't be raised, they would only go down in price as usual. Games could start costing more, but that is almost inevitable.
I don't expect that to change, but entertainment doesn't quite work the same way. I'm paying a lot more for groceries than my family ever has, and often getting contents less per package on top of that. Inflation has been pretty bad for a long time now.
